The event is held "to honor Harry Seisho Nakasone Sensei 40th Anniversary Celebration of the sanshin school."
The group has had only two other concerts, the first one in 1967 and the last one in 1977 for their school. They expect to sell out 800 seats. They will also have 15 guests coming from Okinawa!!
Main Organizers (also Sanshin players and singers) Norman Kaneshiro & Keith Nakaganeku are truly gifted and talented who continue to perpetuate our unique music and culture here in Hawaii. Norman teaches YOH and UH Sanshin Club for free and gives of his time and talents for community service events.
